The Panasonic KX-TG6712 Dual Set Cordless Phone is a modern premium range phone that will look stylish in any environment. Both the keypad and large 1.8inch LCD screen are amber back-lit which makes for easy use in poorly light situations. The KX-TG6712 handset also has an LED ring indicator which helps for those that may be hard of hearing or for environments where there is a significant amount of background noise. Short stroke stabilized buttons have been used in the design of the 6712 handset to provide a pleasant tactile experience and a smart function key makes menu selection an easy and intuitive process.
The Panasonic KX-TG6712 has a reasonable battery life of 17 hours talk time and 180 hours of standby time due to its increased energy efficiency. This means that the Panasonic KX-TG6712 phone is suitable for day to day home use or reasonably intense office use. It also has a quality speakerphone with clear voice reproduction so you can chat whilst performing small tasks.
The Panasonic KX-TG6712 is easily set up and can be put straight into use merely minutes after installing. This is made easier by the handsets intuitive yet simple menu system. The useful features on the phone are practically viewed due to the 4 line display which makes filling the 100 names and number, caller ID compatible memory very simple. These contacts can then be personalised by being given their own ring tone, chosen from the 16 polyphonic tones available.
Call Barring is an advanced feature of the KX-TG6712 which in conjunction with the Caller ID Display allows you to block certain calls from specified numbers that you may not wish to answer; such as sales or cold calls. If the number calling matches an entry in the barred number list then the unit will send out a busy tone to the caller and then disconnect the call.
The Panasonic KX-TG6712 DECT Cordless Phone is gap compatible for use with repeaters or range extenders and can be used with up to 6 handsets in total.
